Grass

For the Trend Forecasting course, I identified signals that reflect current global issues and caught my attention. During my field research, I came across the quote “Touch grass, stay off your phone” twice. It immediately inspired my topic.

I explored the cultural meaning of grass in Western society, from the saying “the grass is greener on the other side” to the competitive lawn culture in American suburbs.

This research reflects the social pressure we experience today, both online and offline.
